I will check out the Kathrein range. I probably wouldn't want to spend more than €200 as my Vbox is doing the job just isn't the best tuner

What’s the main priority here. You mention the ability to create an m3u and a unit with four tuners. Personally I’d opt for a computer based solution rather than a STB solution. You do mention you wanted to avoid TVH but if money is a consideration it would be the cheapest route to go. Based on a budget of €200 the Kathrein range are not a runner

A stand-alone sat>ip unit is going to cost dearly. I always tried to avoid going that route until the Digibit Twin came along.

I really do advise you to go the Digibit R1 route while the seller still has them in stock. When they are gone that’s it. You’ll not get better for the price and the manufacturer has confirmed today that they won’t be producing them again.
 
Does anyone know if the GSS DSL 400 is the same box ad the Digibit R1?

Jim: . I purchased the unit a couple of years ago with a view to creating IPTV streams that could be consumed by raspberry pi devices running Kodi, but never got around to it The unit is still.boxed with the original seal. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I Did a quick Google and they seemed to be around £260 when in stock. How does £250 including delivery sound using a proper delivery company and if you are in the London area, I can deliver in person so you can inspect it.

Thank you, leave it with me because I’m just trying to find out if this is the absolute best model to go for, I’ve got a Netstream 4Sat at the moment and they were the same sort of price, but I’ll be honest it’s been a bit crap, I don’t want to end up with more rubbish.

I’ll let you know either way, I’m in Shropshire so a bit far from London.

What are your options to transfer money?

That's fine. I can do bank transfer, PayPal or revolut. I have also put the unit on gumtree just so you know. When I did my research (granted it was a few years ago), the digibit R1 came highly recommended for working with TV headend.

Hey haven’t forgot, I literally just had the satellite guy here replacing the satellite itself because it was way beyond it haha, yeah I’ll take the box and replace this Netstream 4Sat.
