Fibo 90 feedhorn and fixed Az/El mount

Hi,

I obtained a 90cm Fibo but it's missing a plastic cap on the feedhorn cover - does anyone have a complete feedhorn or maybe there's a way to make the cover yourself?

Also, looking for a fixed mount for the dish so I can put it on a DiSEqC motor, something like this?

Though, anything similar will probably work too.

Yep, I wanted something similar - an old DiSEqC motor bracket or an unused dish bracket, if anyone has one lying around in the spare parts bin?

With the brackets from moteck , the motor is more close to pole , so that one is not easy sutable .
From STAB the sides are longer and by bending the side twice and shorting them they fit between the rectangular irons .
Elevation possibility between dish and bracket is need for less than 5 degree

Yes, I saw that too - sent them an email to check for prices. Hopefully, they are not as expensive as I think they are!
 
Not cheap at all. Goods are sent cash-on-delivery by UPS.
 
Hmm... I really don't mind making my own bits. The cover the feedhorn is easy enough and so is the bracket. But... I do need a bracket to start working with.

Pop round to your local inn or hostelerie and see whether the plastic cap off a beer barrel will do the job.

Zero cost apart from the danger of having to sample the wares.

Excellent idea. :)

You can often see them sitting in the dumpster bins out the back or thrown on the ground where the deliveries are made.

Sods law means they won't be there when you need one.
 
The Fibo horn cover (turqoise ?) is exactly the same size as the carton of Tesco mushroom salad.

Took the time to look closer to the Moteck clamp , it can also more easily done with the rectangulars between the moteck clamp and the use of hexbolts .
Just made one !
No need to bend the clamp , just cut of and use 50x20 rectangular 110 mm long .
I had 50X50 and made one side smaller .
Adjusting the complete setup , I noticed its better to use the "new cut" at the clamp .(pict 2)
Also a inprovement would be to weld a part of the leftovers of the clam over the end of the open slot .
For my location (51.8N 5.8E) 4.8ºE is almost south , the Fibo feedarm has a elevation of 14 º for that position
The difference between the backside of the Fibo and the motorarm (elbow) is approx 7º
Now I'm gonna look how to get the dish more closer to the motor by attaching the elbob inside the clamp to make it easyer to turn and reduce motor noise .

I have a load of bits off a 120cm Fibo which i may be getting rid of. I may also still have access to the dish, I just couldn't fit it in the car at the time and have no idea if the guy still has it.

The original motor is long gone. The previous owner managed to fit the dish to a CM polar mount with a 36v 3ft Jack motor.

By any chance, do not you have spare sub-reflector? I am interested in getting one.
 
However, I do not understand where people are getting spare parts for Fibo, such as feedhorns and subs...:(
