Arabsat takes major ABS-3A capacity |

Arabsat has signed a major multi-transponder, multi-year agreement on ABS-3A, which recently launched to the 3 degrees West orbital slot.

ABS-3A will be used by Arabsat to boost its Ku-band coverage for “data, enterprise, banking and government” clients.

EBU, SIS and now this... I guess no regular tv broacasting we can expect there...

Martin,

Belle Vue dogs usually send their pictures by fibre optic cable using the SIS National fibre backbone. Looking at the name it seems to be an EBU feed? Next time it uplinks I will see if I can capture the signal and get a picture. Having said that, it might be a satellite backup for the Belle Vue fibre optic cable just in case of a fault? We will know for sure once a picture is available.

I got two the other week Dave,

If I am around and can get a signal the next time there is an "SIS...." feed I will see if I can get a picture. This satellite has not been active for a few weeks but seems to have woken up today.

scanning it now, lets see if I get anything.

Update, got a signal and recording the stream, we soon see what this is if I get the code.

I was right, that aint no Belle Vue dogs, its an EBU feed of some cycling event. I recorded it in DVB Dream using the satellite name for 4W as I do not have 3W in my DVD Dream list of satellites, however, its the 3W signal.
