Yes, seems good, but just checked again on 30 W and think it´s flooding the stb. Will fit attenuator to make sure.
Never had a box that would work on 5.1 dB before, so looking forward to tests " in anger "
 
Thanks to Pontiend, had a chance to do a quick blindscan on 24.5 W. The new box got both!:D

Downside, tried to get Waar sport, still being flooded by Waar HD. Will play with that.

Which satellite is Waar Sport on ? 3.1E or 8W ?

High end, never had a problem with Al Jaz Intl on 30 W, strongest signal I can get. Can get BBC World at 16.2 dB ( think max the box will read ) , Al Jaz Intl 5.4 dB with severe pixels. Flooding the stb methinks, will try an attenuator if the next few days to confirm.
But for now, good box so far!

I was wrong about flooding causing the problem with Al Jaz Intl. The problem is the signal is too strong and causing a cross polarisation image on 12092 H at about 5 dB with the original 12092 V being about 19 dB. The blind scan picked up the H version and overwrote the correct V version. Manual scan of 12092 V has resolved the issue.

Not had any luck with Waar sport on 3.1E as yet, and suspect I wont be able to fix this

Waar Sport is on 3.1 east 12566 V 2750 2/3 S2 (720 x 576) 8PSK MPEG-4
Waar HD also 3.1 east 12572 V 3650 2/3 S2 HD (1920 x 1088) 8PSK MPEG-4

Same program content atm.

It would seem that some boxes cannot resolve all transmission Bike TV being a typical example 12.5 West feeds

Hi Brian.

1.2m and Engel RS4800HD receiver.....just to show the dB difference.....WAAR.

Helped me hold both by making a few'steps' to the west.

Mercadona now.......cannot decide what to spend the €8 on......hard life. :D
