Newbie Here Aligning Dish to Hotbird

Hi, I would like to align my Sky dish to Hotbird 13E but I'm not sure how to do this. Do I need a meter? Do I need separate equipment to align the dish? Would I be able to use the one dish to receive Hotbird and Astra? I would be very thankful for any and all help provided.
 
Hi, the dish will be too small for both satellites. Easy enough to realign the dish to 13e. There are three high powered satelites closely located. You can use a receiver with active signal screen then move. Looking at the dish, left and up a tad. Don't forget LNB skew correction. Lots of info in this section ;)
 
Thank you. What size dish do you think I would need to be able to receive Hotbird and Astra both at the same time?
 
An 60-70cm dish should be fine - you can even plonk 19e in between. Please note that you'll need a separate LNB for each satellite with appropriate brackets and switches.
 
Or you can use an Adjustable Monoblock as these are now available with up to 15 degree spread.

Might be pushing it a bit though: That said, I haven't checked the market recently so it's possible something more flexible might be available. If so, they have an inbuilt DiSEqC switch, thus reducing complexity a little.
 
For reliable results, minimum 70cm for 13e --28e, typically 80cm.
Took down only this week a poor failed attempt and 13e and 28 from a zone2 60cm.
 
Yes, I'd go for a nominal 80cm too.
 
Okay, are there any particular dishes you would recommend? What other equipment would I need?
