Ping is good. And the upload speed is OK for an ADSL line.

Most importantly, the price is right :D

Whilst researching our trip to Spain in October, I discovered that Barcelona has free city wide Wifi, albeit limited to 256kb.......just like being at home in fact...

Yeah, I did have the option of having an upgraded Internet here for $12.99 but I am also a tightwad.

For giggles, I thought I'd test the Internet at 36000 feet. It's better than some on the ground! Latency is a bit of a killer though...

Strangely, my phone thinks it's in Detroit, even though I am over Nova Scotia. I guess GPS doesn't work that well high up...

Probably making it's estimate from where the internet connection joins the main system. The GPS signals are almost certainly being blocked by the big Faraday cage that you're flying in.

Waiting in a local garage while my car is being worked on, which is in the middle of nowhere.

Bet the telephone exchange is just round the corner though....

At my Mum's...I've logged into the WiFi of the retirement home across the road with this result :

Then this is my Mums BT connection :

Have you ditched Vivaciti?
Yeah it came down to price. Vivacity was £34 a month and plusnet is £18.99 a month.

My adsl slows down and speeds up.

So I am not going to pay out that sort of money.

My line is an exchange only line, so no chance of fibre :-(
