Looks like this is the one I will go for :D

The main difference I see is that the 5927 has the USB input and the LNB input on the same end. They are on opposite ends on the 5925. But the 5925 also has a loop out connection, missing from the 5927. Probably to accommodate the fan.

The 5925 does run very hot, but I have mine sitting on top of the PC cooler fan vent, so it is always cold. I have mine looped through from my Dr HD receiver, which I use to scan in signals before decoding them with the 5925. It is interesting to see 16PSK signal which give no indication of their presence on the DR HD appearing on the 5925.

Mine does get warm William but ive had no overheating problems. I am going to put it in a fan case though

Cant see much different in spec ? 5927 is on the left only thing I don't see on the 5927 is loop out

Yes I had read about the overheating problems with the 5925,
The 5927 looks a bit bigger than the 5925 maybe due to the inclusion of the fan all sounds very positive.

So from a first view, it looks 5927 has the same exact reception capabilities sans the loop out, so the only thing that should separate it from its older brother is the sensitivity, and perhaps the lock time (5925 has some issues with that), especially with very very low SRs. Too bad though, they could implement a DVB-S2X reception as well!!!

Half of the fta French channels seem to have left 9E! 12034V is affected

AWOL are:
TMC

Hmm, i wonder why and where, maybe it moved to some regional beam? Also i thought maybe it has been moved to 5w but nope it is not there.

I will have a Blind Scan of 9 east to see what is going on

Deleted the one's that did not clear & re-scanned,

No sign of the 3 channels mentioned by Analoguesat

So not on a different beam @ 9 east gone to 5 west Multi-Stream :(

The 9°E feeds were intended as the feed for Swiss cable networks I believe (they all have Swiss adverts on them). Maybe TF1 Group (the owner of TF1, TMC and NT1) is feeding these via fibre now?

These feeds weren't the best technically in any case (only at 1440x1080 resolution), especially if they're being re-encoded by cable companies. I'd guess they can fibre it to Switzerland cheaper and with better quality nowadays!

SO, 5W it still is, but now with an official Fransat receiver, or a TBS card ;)
At least I can safely chuck my SD Fransat receiver now...
