Is it because of this issue that your reply to a Post of mine about the Video from the Edision had no text other than the quote?

This is like "I'm alright Jack" from some members and Staff - but Why the Hell (for want of the ability to say something "stronger") do I bother even trying from many others including myself (changing from IE11 to FF has totally screwed up my History lists, and now I have to search for anything more than a couple of hours old if I want to look it up/follow it up:rolleyes:)

Having reports both positive as well as negative surely helps better illustrate the overall situation? Whatever underlying problems there may be, having wider information about what works and what doesn't work should better aid resolution.

And Staff, in the main, experience the same as the wider Membership and have the same influence (lack of) over the platform. Only the Owner and maybe one or two Admin have "the power".

I must agree with @jeallen01 on this. I think the time is well and truly over for posts saying "everything's all right with me" and to acknowledge that there is, now, a fundamental problem with the software. What really irks is that there has been a complete lack of acknowledgement that there IS a problem.

I've been restrained in my comments until now hoping something has been in the offing but I think that six months is enough to try anyone's patience.

The fact that it works without issues for others must be relevant in diagnosing the root causes, though. Clearly not everyone is affected and those who are affected are affected in diverse ways.

It's the very nature of things that most reports are from those with problems, but it would be quite wrong to preclude or dismiss positive reports.

I'm not saying dismiss them. There are enough positive reports now to know that some people have no problems. Good luck to them - I wish I were in the same boat.

No, what I'm saying is that we KNOW that the forum software is at fault somehow and only negative reports can help with dealing with the bugs.

Assuming that there is the will to deal with them that is.

^^^^^^

I have sympathy with part of that ...... qv PM :)

So, it must be asked, WHY don't (or maybe CAN'T?) they use that "power" as they have seem to have had plenty of time to do that?

I have wondered the same thing myself. I can assure you that there is nothing going on behind the scenes that I am aware of.

Thanks, and I'm sure that goes for the majority of Admins and Staff!

PS: This is all getting very complicated - at least 3 separate threads about the same "problem"! Staff/Admins/OWNER (@chris, especially the LATTER!) please just SORT IT PDQ!

I also came to the opinion that the site has been optimised for phones/tablets to the detriment of keyboard users such as myself.

And yet Chris1979, who uses a phone in preference to a laptop, also reports problems.

I have a strong suspicion that there are members who simply are unable to posts at all and therefore cannot make their feelings known.

Yes, @PaulR, that thought has crossed my mind too.

But on the flip-side a great many without issues won't have said so, out of inertia.

Sadly, you and I are powerless to investigate and remedy, though.
