Astra 2E: Central & East Europe Reports

sardinia italy no uk spot beam with 1.8 dish. Before change we had a good signal in all weathers.

I keep posting that no one in Cyprus can receive any beams from the new 2E satellite, why am I being ignored?
The coverage map still showing reception possible with a dish >2.5m; you CANNOT! Not even with a 4.2m dish, east or west end of the island.

There are two pins in Cyprus - pins show no reception, blob with black dot shows reception OK :)

AS: I see there is a second Haute-Savoie report on the map, but clearly with the alternative spelling of "Haute" :) And my blob needs to be 20km to the SW. Thanks!

In Istanbul with 180 cm dish no signal from UK Beam. Very good signal about 11-12db on European beam.
 
Guys anybody able to get 11836 H from cyprus?? i lost sky movies :(( i have a 4.2 meter dish

Nope cant get any signal.. Tried retuning the dish but i cant get any signal from cyprus on 2e. 11836h no signal

Any suggestions?? :S stronger lnb?? Tried many but invacom with adf-120 seemd to do the right job.

Are you getting any other 2E PE Beam Transponders ok?

In which case we need to await reports from your compatriots, for comparison.
 
I've noticed reports from Cyprus these days are pretty rare. There used to be loads back when Astra 2D was up and running, have most given up on satellite over there?

Actually, I seem to recall we've had a couple earlier in this Thread and they were big fat zeros, too.

Scan through this Topic from the beginning and you should find corroboration of your own observations, sadly.
 
I can still get discovery channels,animal, national geographic etc thats ok for me. I have bein sports hd on nilesat for sports with english audio also. The big loss for me is sky movies. @Tivù most of them here turned their big dishes to 19.2 which is fully reaceavable. And those who wanted sky uk have put iptv. Is 19.2 worth it? Compared to sky uk considering english audio.

Guys i just did a retuning by reajusting the lnb skew and i was able to get 12168 V which has some movies channels and its on astra 2A. the signal dropped a bit on the othe channels by 0.20 db but now im able to get that frequency. Still 2E not reachable. Anyone knows any way i can get more channels by stronger lnb or feedhorn etc??

Well here's a pleasant surprise. All BBC TV channels perfect tonight, as is C4, but not ITV. Settling down to watch timeshifted "Salamander" on BBC4 HD.

Weather related? here in Prague weather is notably mild, but hardly clear. Light cloud cover all evening.

Any thoughts from you guys, does this offer any kind of hope?

Confirming my earlier posts, 2E is NOT receivable anywhere on the Island of Cyprus.

Sadly yes, but the satellite is still worthy it. I will also trying moving the dish to 19,2 to see if the english programmes of sky de serve me :)
